WHat is baptism?
Baptism is the cleansing of Original Sin or any personal sin you may have. The ordinary minister, a priest, does this by saying, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." As he says these words he must either submerge or sprinkle water over the head of the receiver. Although Baptism can only be received once (because it leaves an indelible mark), any person of any age can receive it. Baptism causes new birth and allows us to be "born again." Baptism also makes us members of the Mystical Body of Christ, or the Church.
